Good bye!

Hello and good bye to everyone! We are having our last lessons this week and I would like to say good bye to you with a couple of recommendations in order to keep your English fit ;-)

Here you have an extract from last Sunday's Spanish radio programme "No es un día cualquiera", where the topic "English learning in Spain" is being discussed. I think you might find it quite interesting! Play it from minute 15 on

And related to that, here you have a list of quite useful recommendations. As I said in class, if you would like to keep up your English, use this blog's features and links and surf the web!

Please keep in touch and write me if you have any query related to English learning. It has been a pleasure teaching you all and I'll miss you! Thank you all very much for your patience with me and for making the lessons so nice! :-)

GOOD BYE! And... don't forget to stay on the bright side of the road ;-)

Bob Dylan is 70!

Yes, the times are a-changin', indeed! Happy happy birthday, Mr. Zimmerman!
If you click in the picture below you'll see the original video of Bob Dylan's 1965 performance.
If you would like to listen to more of him, go to his web page here, move right to 'Songs' and just click on the one you like. Enjoy!

Unbelievable!

I just can't believe this already exists! The future is here now, look!

I just think that the original sentences and signals in Spanish were not really well written, but still... it's an amazing tool! Here and now I want scream out loud to defend the beautiful, not well paid and indispensable work of all the translators in the world!! :-)

Quite a recommendation

Help is a BBC TV comedy first aired in 2005. It is directed by Declan Lowney (an award-winning Irish TV and film director), with Paul Whitehouse and Chris Langham as main characters. The story focuses on a psychotherapist (Langham) and his therapy sessions with a variety of patients, most of them played by the remarkable Whitehouse. Here you have the fist episode, enjoy! :-)

Technical difficulties

La heramienta BLOGGER que aloja y gestiona nuestro blog ha estado sin funcionar durante un día entero y estoy intentando ponerme al día. Espero poder actualizar las respectivas páginas de English 2 y English 6 a lo largo del día.
I apologize for the inconvenience!

Stand up, exercise!

I've just found this and I'm really scared now! So I've just decided to stand up and never sit down again!!!!

What's the United Kingdom?

I believe there is much confusion on what England is, what Britain, what the United Kingdom... And here you can find a very fast but very clear answer! ;-)

It's History now!

Well, the wedding is over now, but it's now time to share our impressions! ;-) So here you can watch and listen to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge as they say their vows, quite British!
If you want to take a look at the wedding highlights, click here! But if you are absolutely obsessed with the British Monarchy and this wedding, then you have to surf The Royal Channel and the official British Monarchy webpage ;-) Have fun!!
